New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Lindsay Rowe, is a Child & Family therapist specializing in guiding clients of all ages through life's challenges and transitions. Lindsay has served clients of the upstate New York area for over six years. Her practice is built on trust, instilling hope, empowering positive change, and professionalism.
Lindsay earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Towson University in Baltimore. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Lindsay is trained in diagnosing, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning.
Over the course of her career, Lindsay has worked in various settings including; inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry, adult outpatient mental health, and non-profit child and family services. She is inspired by her experiences that have allowed her to gain valuable knowledge and specialized training in the area of child and family wellness from birth to adulthood.
Lindsay has extensive experience working with parents and their young children (infants-age 5) to strengthen their attachment relationship and navigate the transitions into parenthood and the impact it has on all areas of life.
She has also worked extensively with children who have experienced trauma and partners with their parents to foster healing from past experiences.
Lindsay is trained in three evidence-based treatment models; Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. For more information, please see “Services”.
